This is a local hero story, first told by the hero himself, Satornino. My consultant, German Sanchez, learned it from his father, Agripino Sanchez, who learned it from Satornino. The story takes place in San Miguel Chimalapa, Oaxaca, Mexico, sometime during Satornino's young adult life - possibly during the Mexican Revolution, around 1918.
