| Description: | This set of recordings relates to bon20180210, the previous day. This recording captures the burial of the deceased man. The coffin was placed into the church building. The pastor gives a sermon, the magistrate says some words, a couple of songs are sung. The pastor is Naisa Poio from Masingara. He was for a visit in Irukupi. Then several family members or close friends of the deceased come to the front and speak out. This included story about the man's life, but also a dispute about where the body should be buried. The man was born in Irukupi, but he had lived in Drageli for the past years. His in-laws wanted to have him buried in Drageli, but the sons were against this. bon20180211_01, bon20180211_02, bon20180211_03, bon20180211_04, bon20180211_05, bon20180211_06, bon20180211_07 are recorded inside the church building. After the service, the body is carried back to the house. After some discussion, the family decides to open the coffin, so that everyone can look at the dead man's face one more time. bon20180211_08, bon20180211_09, bon20180211_10, bon20180211_11 are recorded at the house Next, the coffin is closed up again and carried to the grave.
