Description:The speaker narrate how children became grownups and started hunting using arrows made for them before making their own. He goes on to illustrate how unwise children were punished. He gives a few notes on initiation and marriage. He points out some new things brought by foreigners. The speaker explains how the Okiek cleverly communicated with a certain bird by whistling to inform them of any dangers or where to find beehives.
Jane Oduor is the Okiek language documentor.
Patrick works within the Okiek community as a social worker and community mobilizer. In this project he also assisted in community mobilization, video recording, translating and annotating.
