| Description: | This is a file recorded at the site office of LEDBL at Gorkha in the beginning of the gathering of data in the field. We had invited Ram Bahadur Baram from Danda Gaun, Gorkha as language consultant. We asked him to tell us about a song. He told us it is impossible to get any song in Baram. Finally Dambar Bahadur Baram wrote the following song and Ram Bahadur Baram sang it. This song consists of more than five stanzas. In each stanza, he desires to be equal to other people. He doesn't know why he feels this way, but he has a strong desire of being equal to other people. The Baram people had their own land from the reign of Dravya Shaha but nowadays they have very little land compared to the past. However, he does not know the reason. | |
