Description:Recordings of spontaneous speech. The children were recorded while they were playing with toys and looking at pictures from a picturebook.
This project is part of the larger research project 'The role of finiteness' and focusses on the acquisition of the structural and functional properties of finiteness in Dutch. The aim of this longitudinal study is to explore the developmental stages in the acquisition of finiteness in 6 normally developing Dutch-learning children and 2 children with Specific Language Impairment.
The toys that were used for these session were; toy horses, combs and brushes, cars, cups, plates and spoons. The picturebook that was used was "Hier bin ich zu Hause" from Eberhard and Scheffler. Unfortunately, the sound quality of this recording is not very good.
