Description:Court Case 1, part 1. Begins with Albert Lââbuda making statement. David Kóót:ââ and Albert Lââpuda. David’s W (Henrietta, Z of Leo Mboo). Eugene paid his brideprice – kê kn:ââ came from Henrietta. Tried to pay her back – but problems arose: Titus Philemon’s Z-in-law married at Wudidmyinenyede – this kê kn:ââ should have gone to James Mbulu. David’s M kê kn:ââ went to James – so they couldn’t give it to Henrietta. David’s son meanwhile saw his F eating for work done, and started crying because he didn’t get any – David belted his son. David asked Albert to belt him again. The son reported (falsely) to Henrietta – who called the court case against her H and B. David was bathing at the river, she swore at H and B-inlaw: apuu! She also threw a stone at John Weta! Albert got in a fury because of swear words. David went and belted his S and W again, and Albert was on his way, and Weta held him back – and got the stone intended by Henrietta for Albert. The court case allowed the background of the unpaid kê to come up. So first they fixed the kê problem: Henrietta’s kê went to Patrick Tangi for his D. David got it back – gave another to Tangi. But Henrietta’s kê was missing 4 of the original w:uu – changed at Abeleti pig feast. The court asks David’s M to fix the problem – she was forced to give Titus Philemon’s kê to Henrietta to satisfy her. Meanwhile the court will sent to Abeleti to fix the ke, which will now go to David’s Mother. The court now returned to the Henrietta vs the Bs. Henrietta had to give ndap to David’s M and her sons (including David). And another to Weta for the stone. Leo provided these 2 for his Z. 2 p:iimb:aa. David had to give one ndap to Henrietta for beating her. (Kê never use to pay for misdeeds). Case 1 continues into sessions r05_v9 and r05_v10_s1.
