Description:This session was recorded in Beltar. The myth of an orphan named Hetcakupa and his elder sisters Tongwama and Khiwama is recounted here. The narrator reads it from a written text.
Hetcakupa who was an orphan spent his life with great sorrow and difficulties.Once a time ,one of the ghost named Coŋroŋdhipma took him far away and she made a plan to kill and eat the boy.How the orphan escaped from there what happend to the ghost etc is interestingly described here.
Puma language is used with some phrases of Bantawa and Nepali language.
Mr Durga Rai is very good story teller and also a well known singer, so the Puma team contacted him for the recording.
He is the research assistant for linguistics in the Puma team.
He is a student and also a helpful member of the local youth club of his village.
