| Lacandón Cultural Heritage is a documentation of the language and culture of the northern Lacandón(Maya), who live in the rain forest in Chiapas, the south-eastern state of Mexico. They number approximately 350 men, women and children, who have retained much of their traditional culture and religion. The project serves as a preservative measure against loss of the traditional knowledge, stories, and verbal performances that are central to Lacandón culture. It also serves as an interactive resource tool for linguists and non-linguists to access data relevant to their areas of interest, such as folklore, ethnobotany, cultural anthropology, etc. | ||
| CKD was asked to narrate Frog Where Are You, for the collectors. He is one of many children asked to do this. A Spanish version of the same story is found in Frogstory_sp_CKD.mpg. | ||
| Lacandon is the language used in this session. The collectors and CKD use Spanish to communicate the task before the narration begins. | ||

| CKD is the uncle of Lej , in that he is the youngest son of KPG and the youngest brother of KyP (who is Lej's father). CKD lives with his mothers, brothers and sisters and his buddy Lej. | ||
