| Description: | This session is one in a sequence of several sessions, in which 157 tells different myths and other stories belonging to the Awetí oral history. Altogether it takes him 12 hours for three days running. This recording, which consists of a shorter narration and an introductory dialog, was realized inside the Kamayurá village in the afternoon. | This project aims at the documentation of the Awetí Language, a tupian language of a small speech community in central Brazil. It is funded for 2000/2001 by the VolkswagenStiftung in the Documentation of Endangered Languages Programme. The principal researcher, Sebastian Drude, initianted his research among the Awetí in 1998. | ||
