Description:August 31st, 2006. Kmatpi stories I. Yidika interviewing. Mostly about Njinjópu yâpwo. Unfortunately the camera fogged (hot day) and the tape is possibly only usable for the sound – but anyway, interesting stuff. Continues on following tapes: r06_v26, r06_v27 and r06_v28, using different camera. Places and things mentioned: Pwili kó pwaapi = the name of the ancient trade with Sudest, Yél y:amê yi kêêlî ghîghê. Only the Rossels travelled! He also said that in the old days, only the important women used full grass skirts – women used to just cover the pubic area and the back bottom. The knees were called chee kpââlî dê, and were considered yâpwo – off-bounds! The female pubic area was called têêdî. Other archaic words: mee = lémi, but specifically one who has tpéli pyââ, and thus has plenty of kêndapî. The tpéli pyââ was fed by the man’s wife, and thus he could not sleep with her himself. She could be his clan member. Nd:ombódó is the sacred road running to Mbaati. Témê = another name of Mbaati, invoked Témê ngê dê ma = Mbaati has eaten the cannibal victim, meaning no ndap payment. Téniyim:e chêêpî is the stone that Ngwonoch:a put at Kpamada taken from Wââdî, the other one he put Ch:oo pudu reef. See Armstrong 4a. Dodenki is the son of Mbaati who he left at Jinjo. Kp:ââchedê wee (k:aa yâpwo) has the secret name Mbwii wee. DUBBED
