| The project is based on interdisciplinary and intercultural field research oriented towards documenting indigenous languages spoken in the Argentine Chaco region. The Chaco Project collects, processes, and archives linguistic and cultural data for Mocovi (Guaycuru), Tapiete (Tupi-Guarani), Vilela (Lule-Vilela) and Wichi (Mataco), with the objective of developing computerized and digitalized texts, lexicographic, and ethnographic databases along with documentary videos. Documentation activities are carried out by a team comprised of linguists, anthropologists and media experts. | ||
| MG ejecuta un canto referido al trueno, entidad que actúa como su espíritu auxiliar en las curaciones que él realiza. Durante el canto introduce palabras en mocoví, y luego realiza algunos comentarios en castellano. | ||
| En esta sesión MG explica su canto utilizando la lengua española y algunos términos en mocoví. | ||
| En esta sesión intervienen MG y la investigadora SC, en una entrevista realizada en la casa de MG. | ||
| Antropóloga investigadora del equipo mocoví, especializada en los grupos guaycurú de la Argentina y en los estudios de la performance. | ||
| MG es un anciano de 74 años, que es reconocido en su comunidad por su poder para realizar curaciones. Dichas curaciones combinan elementos del shamanismo mocoví con el cristianismo evangélico. | ||
