The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc.

Emmanuel de Vienne is a french student finishing his PhD in Paris, at the Ecoles des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. He works with the Trumai since 2003.
Speaker3 is a native speaker of Trumai. She lives in the Terra Preta village, in the central area of the Xingu Reserve. Both her parents were Trumai. Speaker3 lived in the Kamayurá village for many years, when she was still married. Nowadays she is separated, living with her daughter and son. She is middle-aged.
