Description:This corpus collects German sign language (DGS) data. For this project, native, early, and late DGS signers were recorded performing different tasks (narratives of short picture stories/cartoon clips) and engaging in free conversation. These recordings and their annotations are stored in this corpus.
M-drums: the mouse is reading a book; elephant starts playing the drum next to him; he takes the sticks from the elephant so he can't play anymore; the elephant continues with his trunk; mouse takes away the drum but elephant continues to make noise while drumming on his own belly. Mouse then ties a knot in his ears so he can read his book.
TH is a female native DGS signer.
TG is a male late DGS signer, he started signing DGS around age 17. In the video the signer TH describes the Mauss movie to TG.
Daniela is a female early DGS signer. Throughout the recording session she informed participants on the contents of each task. In the recordings she is sitting next to the addressee.
