Description: | It is also done second day and it is last worship of the Panimagne ritual. It is performed after copleting the worship in forest, Patal. The Pancakanya is one goddess of Hindu culuture but used in Chintang people as well. The altar of the Pancakanya is located northern part of Chintang and place is also called Pancakanya. In Pancakanya, there are two worships. One is the worship of Pancakanya and the other one is the worship of the Budhohang. Their altars are very close to each other. | |
It is one of the worships of Panimagne and it is last worship of the Panimagne ritual. It is worshipped in the permanent altar of the Pancakanya. It is located in northern part of Chintang where 15 statues of martyrs have been fixed. In it, there are two worships, namely, the Pancakanya and the Budhohang. | ||
This is a chant in the ritual language used by Chintang ritual experts. It is different from ordinary language so a few knowledgeable elders canspeak and understand partly. Its basic character is binomial. | ||
It is worship of the Pancakanya. In this worship, there are many participants. The collector got information and went there and recorded. Priest is Dambar Bahadur Rai(DBN), who is regular priest of the Chintang Debi. There are two elders, who chanted the mundum. One is Chamabak Kancha (BBR) and the other is Chambak Mahila (BhB). They were requested to participate there as knowledgeable elders by the priest. | ||
He is member of the Tuprihang clan. Like his elder brother BhB he is a Chambak, i.e. a tribal shaman, who goes into trance during certain occasion. | ||
