Description:Ramila describes about the various activites of two young dogs. She explains how they hunt animals. The other participants make interesting questions on the activities of the dogs. There are some other family matters too in the text.
The whole text is in Chintang. But there are very few lexical items borrowed from Nepali and Bantawa as well.
Ramila was born and brought up in Chintang Ward number four. Both of her parents are Bantawa rai, but she is married in Chingang speaking family. She is fluent in both Bantawa and Chintang.
Jay Bahadur Rai is one of our hosts in Chintang. He acts as a consultant, but also helps to establish social relation in Mulgaun area. He was born in Chintang, Ward no. 3 in mulgaun village, and he also grew up there. He is Bantawa rai by clan and yupuchung by sub clan. His mother tongue is Chintang.
Nak Maya Rai is one of our hosts in Chintang. She acts as a consultant, but also helps to establish social relation in Mulgaun area. She was born in Ward number 2 of Chintang village, and she also grew up there.
Mon Kumari is one of our local consultants in Chintang. She has been helping in establishing local relations in Chintang. She was born and brought up in Chintang.
Januka Rai is also one of our local assistants in Chintang. She helps in arranging local relationships. She was born and brought up in Chintang.
Goma is one of the research assistants working in the project. She is incharge of the recordings, transcriptions and translations of Child language acquisition part
I completed Masters Degree in Linguistics from Tribhuvan University, and currently working as a Research Assistant in the (DOBES) project. I am in charge of Linguistic works and analysis.
