| It is the worship of the Budhohang. It is also believed as a living king as well as god. The Budhohang is taken as father of the Rajdeu. It is worshipped after finishing Khipmang, the house deity. While worshipping the Budhohang, we need separate altar. In altar, there are one calabash, Tongba, a bamboo can used for drinking beer. One pair of banana leaf called Tupla in ritual language is kept in front of the calabash and Tongba. Sometimes, pig and chicken are offered. If they are not available, an egg is offered with chanting the mundum by knowledgeable elders. In this worship, priest is Sarjal Rai and chanted the mundum by Bal Bahadur Rai and offered one egg. | ||
| This is a chant in the ritual language used by Chintang ritual experts. Its characterized by binomials which are different from ordinary language nouns. | ||
| Total ritual is called the Yupung in Chintang but it is small but important one. Collector (IR) was called in that ritual ceremony and involved there. Sarjal belonging to Walung, Bantawa ethnicity is householder and priest of the worship. Another actor is Bal Bahadur Rai belongs to Sangpang ethnicity functions as an elders and chants the mundum. Bal Bahadur is only neighbour of Sarjal and Sarjal requested to come at home and act as an knowledgeable elder called wattong in Chintang. | ||
| He belongs to Sangpang. Sanpang is not the proto-clan of Chintang. Sangpang came to Chintang from Simpani, a village of Khotang, where Sangpang Rai settled originally. In Chintang they came with their mother because mother belonged to the Chintang clan called Dalahang. He works as an knowledgeable elder among Chintang. He performs varieties of worship and chants the mundum perfectly. | ||
| He is young but performs as a priest because his father has already died. His role in the worship is worshipping the deity according to knowledgeable elder's advice. | ||
