Description:This corpus collects German sign language (DGS) data. For this project, native, early, and late DGS signers were recorded performing different tasks (narratives of short picture stories/cartoon clips) and engaging in free conversation. These recordings and their annotations are stored in this corpus.
CR5: S pretends to be the bell boy in the hotel that the old woman is checked into; he takes her suitcase and the cage from her room to take downstairs; he escapes down the back stairs with the cage (covered) and sets it down in a back alley; when he takes the cover off the cage, he finds the old woman crouched in the cage instead of T; she takes off after him, hitting him with her umbrella
UZ is a male native signer who recruited the participants in Aachen and recorded them.
MS is a female early DGS signer. She is originally from Poland, and learned DGS around the age of 7. She also knows Polish Sign Language.
CF is a female early/native DGS signer. She turned deaf at 2 years of age, and learned DGS from that age on.
