| The aim of the project is to provide a rich linguistic and ethnographic documentation of two highly endangered but almost totally undocumented languages in eastern Nepal, Chintang and Puma. These languages belong to the Kiranti family of Tibeto-Burman. Chintang is spoken by the Chintang Rai in Chintang Village Development Committee (VDC) of Dhankuta district. Puma is spoken by the Puma Rai in Diplung, Mauwabote, Devisthan and Pauwasera VDCs, to the south of Khotang bazar in Khotang district. | Prithvi has cut his finger of his hand. Kamala's mother uses kerosene as a medicine in the wound. All the children look at his finger. Kalapana and Kamala play with the soil and stone. They bring the soil and make dust with the help of stone. | ||

| Kamala and Kalpana are our target children. Phul Maya is the mother of Kamala, Prithvi is the cousin of Kamala and elder brother of Kalpana. Puspa is our local informant and their neighbour. Goma is the collector and the annotator of this session. | ||

| Puspa is the neighbour of all our target children in Chintang. She is our local assistant as well. She has passed class 10. | ||
