| The aim of the project is to provide a rich linguistic and ethnographic documentation of two highly endangered but almost totally undocumented languages in eastern Nepal, Chintang and Puma. These languages belong to the Kiranti family of Tibeto-Burman. Chintang is spoken by the Chintang Rai in Chintang Village Development Committee (VDC) of Dhankuta district. Puma is spoken by the Puma Rai in Diplung, Mauwabote, Devisthan and Pauwasera VDCs, to the south of Khotang bazar in Khotang district. | LDCh3 and an elder girl play in the field together with a pipe (for water). She tries to build something with sticks, partly talk to herself, partly to her sister. Both girls play independently for a while then they build a little hut together made out of sticks and LDCh3 crawls inside and lies on the floor. Then after a while they destroy the little hut together and start a new. | ||
