| Description: | ENGLISH: Study conducted by Takap Trumai Kayabi as a final requirement for the degree in Languages, Arts and Literature at the University of Mato Grosso (Brazil). The study explores two myths that are part of the Trumai oral tradition: (1) the origin of the water; (2) the origin of the Yamurikuma festivity. The myths were narrated by Takap's mother, and later transcribed, translated into Portuguese, and analyzed by him. The paper also contains illustrations made by Takap. ----- PORTUGUÊS: Estudo realizado por Takap Trumai Kayabi, para a conclusão do curso de Licenciatura em Línguas, Artes e Literatura na Universidade de Mato Grosso. | The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc. | ||

He is very interested in the work of documenting the Trumai language and culture. | ||
