Description:The signer watches 2 Mouse and Elephant cartoons. Each cartoon is divided into smaller parts. The first cartoon has 4 parts and the second one has 3 parts. The signer watches each part and the computer screen goes black. S/he is supposed to describe what s/he has seen. The addressee just listens and asks questions if s/he doesn't understand. The addressee does not see the screen. The experimenter shows the pictures of chracters of the cartoon and gives little information about them.

This corpus collects Turkish sign language TID data from children and also their parents. For this project, TID signers were recorded performing different tasks narratives of short picture stories/cartoon clips and engaging in free conversation. These recordings and their annotations are stored in this corpus.
Beyza is a hearing person. She recorded the sessions and conducted the experiments. She mainly used TID and tried not to use speech.
Hukumran is a hearing person. He is a fluent signer. He prentended to be deaf in the experiments. He checked the order of tasks and gave instructions when necessary.
He is a native deaf signer. His parents are also deaf. He has a deaf brother. Her parents and his brother also know Tirkish Sign Language. He is married to a deaf woman, who is not a deaf signer. He has two deaf daughters. He is an active member of the Deaf Community. He reported that he can use both hands to write and sign. He does not know any other sign languages.
Ilk is a native deaf signer. Both of her parents are deaf. She has also a deaf elder sister. She is from Izmir, but lives in Istanbul. She attends TIV and takes sign language courses from a deaf teacher in TIV. This school is not a boarding school. She also attends speech thearpy in the same school. She does not have a CI.
Sevinc is a native deaf signer. She is a very active member of the Deaf community both in Istanbul and Izmir. She used to the former chair in Izmir Deaf Association. In the experiments, she conducted the experiments and gave instructions to the participants.
