| Description: | Although Akkala Sámi has been declared extinct by several researchers and other non-local people, the language is still spoken. This session contains interviews recorded with a speaker of Akkala Sámi on the Kola Peninsula in Russia. The collectors are a non-Sámi researcher and two speakers of Kildin Sámi. The present session includes the audio recordings as well as preliminary transcriptions and translations. To protect the consultant from becoming an object for a new "last speaker search" her/his name and other metadata providing clues about her/him are missing from the catalogue. Access to metadata and recordings has to be requested from the collectors. | |
