| MD (male) MD was born in 1932 in Baures and is a half-brother of AD and CD. He is a cattle owner (approx. 70 bovines) and peasant. MD is a good Baure speaker but not that fluent, due to lack of practice. He is very helpful in transcribing and translating Baure-texts. MD has very good knowledge of Baure history and customs. He knows how to play traditional music on the flute and used to work as a teacher of culture in the local school. | ||
| MD nació en 1932 en Baures y es hermanastro de AD y CD. Es un ganadero chico y tiene aproximadamente 70 cabezas de ganado. También trabaja en la agricultura. MD es un buen hablante del baure pero no habla con mucha fluidez por falta de práctica. Él es muy dispuesto en ayudar en transcribir y traducir grabaciones en baure. Tiene muchos conocimientos de la historia y de las costumbres de Baures. Sabe tocar música tradicional en la flauta. Solía trabajar como profesor de cultura en la escuela local. | ||
| Swintha Danielsen is a doctor of linguistics and is practically administrating and organizing the Baure documentation project. She worked already in Baures between 2003 and 2007 and wrote her PhD thesis on the Baure language. Her research foci are the Baure dialects, hisorical dialect formation and Baure language history in general. In addition she is working on specific Baure morphological features and compares them within the whole Arawakan phylum. | ||
