| Baure es un idioma en peligro de extinción, que se habla en la Amazonia de Bolivia. Actualmente, el baure cuenta con aproximadamente 200 hablantes de los cuales solamente unos 50 hablan con fluidez y unos pocos saben contar los cuentos de manera tradicional. El proyecto aspira a la documentación de todas las facetas del idioma baure. La investigación lingüística se concentra en la comparación de los dialectos de la lengua baure, el sistema de clasificadores, y la expresión de relaciones espaciales. El trabajo etnográfico provee el contexto amplio en que se debe interpretar los datos. | ||

| Swintha Danielsen is a doctor of linguistics and is practically administrating and organizing the Baure documentation project. She worked already in Baures between 2003 and 2007 and wrote her PhD thesis on the Baure language. Her research foci are the Baure dialects, hisorical dialect formation and Baure language history in general. In addition she is working on specific Baure morphological features and compares them within the whole Arawakan phylum. | ||
