Description:This project aims to document the language and culture of Nyagbo. The people themselves refer to the language as Tutrugbu. Although also referred to officially as Nyagbo (also spelled Nyangbo), one of the groups that speak it prefers that we use Tutrugbu. Tutrugbu is a Ghana-Togo Mountain (GTM) language spoken in the Volta Region of Ghana. The project was funded by the NSF Documenting Endangered Language Program from 2006 - October 30, 2009.
The regent of Nyagbo Odumase demonstrates how wine is tapped from the palm tree.
Speaks Nyagbo fluently and has native-speaker competence in Ewe. Has a little English from second-cycle school
