Description:		Videorecordings of two male early NGT signers and one female early NGT signer engaging in free conversation in the garden of the clubhouse for the deaf.
		Logbook. The meeting of S024, S041, S126 and S127 at 28 September 2011. Location: The recordings are in the garden of the clubhouse for the Deaf in Groningen. The conversations between S024 and S126 is about the history of the old building of the deaf school and boarding school H.D. Guyot. They tells each other about memories of the building and memories of their youth. A while later S041 arrives too. She draws up to the table. S127 volunteers for the clubhouse and doesn't take part to the conversations, but is mainly present in the background. He does jobs for the clubhouse. Technical information: The appointment was made with S024 and S126. I asked S024 with whom he would like a recorded conversation. He called S126. The presence of S041 and S127 is unexpected. The light outside late in the afternoon is pretty good. The records are steady and in front of the signers. S041 is better into view with one camera and sometimes with the other camera. She took place between S024 and S126. The duration of the records is about 2,5 hours.

		Information from filled in backgrounddocument by S024: S024 does know his conversation partner S126 for 5 years. S024 became deaf when he was a baby of 6 months old. S024 does participate to the deaf community by deaf friends, the Meeting Centre for the Deaf and work. S024 defines his sign skills as very good. S024 does know an other sign language: Spanisch sign language. The brothers, parents and grandparents of S024 are/were hearing and used speech only, except the mother of S024. She use/used speech-supported sign. The question about sign language users in the hearing environment isn't replied. Write: left hand. Preference hand for signing: left hand. S024 participates to the recordings of 01/06/2011 too.

S126 did met his conversation partner S024 in the Clubhouse for the Deaf. S126 is born deaf. S126 replied about his participation to the deaf community with a 'no'. S126 also mentioned the Meeting Centre for the Deaf as a manner to participate to the deaf community. S126 defines his sign skills as good. S126 does have 2 deaf brothers and 1 deaf sister (but he didn't wrote it in his background document). The parents and grandparents of S126 are/were hearing and used speech only. >From S126's hearing environment one female cousin use/used sign language. Write: right hand.
