| The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc. | ||
| Sample of the lexicon of the Trumai language - terms for mammals. This sample was prepared with the Shoebox/Toolbox program and can be visualized with LexiquePro. | ||
| The lexical entries are in the Trumai language. There are glosses and comments in Portuguese and English. | ||
| The lexicon was organized by the linguist Raquel Guirardello-Damian, with further contributions by the anthropologist Emmanuel de Vienne. | ||
| Emmanuel de Vienne is a French anthropologist. He has been working with the Trumai people since 2002. He is conducting his Ph.D. studies in France ( École Pratique des Hautes Etudes). | ||
| Raquel is a Brazilian linguist. She has been working with the Trumai people since 1989. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Rice University (Houston, Texas, U.S.A). | ||
