Description:The speaker sees 38 short vignettes on a computer screen one by one. After seeing each one, the screen goes black and the speaker is supposed to describe what s/he has seen to the addressee.
This corpus collects Turkish sign language TID data from children and also their parents. For this project, TID signers were recorded performing different tasks narratives of short picture stories/cartoon clips and engaging in free conversation. These recordings and their annotations are stored in this corpus.
Beyza is a hearing person. She recorded the sessions and conducted the experiments. She mainly used TID and tried not to use speech.
Hukumran is a hearing person. He is a fluent signer. He prentended to be deaf in the experiments. He checked the order of tasks and gave instructions when necessary.
