| Description: | A meeting of the Congreso General Kuna, on the island of Carti Tupile, March of 1985. The five cassettes cover only part of the roughly 2 and a half days of this meeting, mostly because James Howe, who made the recordings, did not succeed in getting permission to record until the Congress had been in session for a while. Nonetheless, the tapes cover a large number of speeches by delegates to the Congress. The recordings were made on a Sony Super-Walkman. Although they are of generally good quality—the speeches are all or almost intelligible—there were difficulties with the microphone, and there are gaps that are blank or with very faint recordings. | |
| Una reunión del Congreso General Kuna, en la isla de Carti Tupile, marzo de 1985. Los cinco cassettes cubren sólo parte de esta reunión de unos dos días y medio, por cuanto James Howe, quien hizo las grabaciones, no consiguió el permiso de grabar hasta que habia adelantada la sesión. Sin embargo, las cintas cubren un buen número de las intervenciones por parte de los delegados al Congreso. Las grabaciones se efectuaron con un Super-Walkman Sony. Aunque son de buena calidad en general—las intervenciones son inteligibles con pocas excepciones—hubo dificultades con el micrófono y existen partes que quedaron en blanco, o en las que la grabación es muy débil. | ||
