A project for the analysis and description of the Tiriyó language, based on fieldwork. It started officially in 1993, although sporadic data gathering took place beforehand (in Belém, Brazil).
This file was generated from an IMDI 1.9 file and transformed to IMDI 3.0. The substructure of Genre is replaced by two elements named "Genre" and "SubGenre". The original content of Genre substructure was: Interactional = 'interview', Discursive = 'Unspecified', Performance = 'Unspecified'. These values have been added as Keys to the Content information.
Tomas repeats a series of words after Sérgio.
Tiriyó was used exclusively during the session.
Sérgio is the researcher/interviewer; Tomas is interviewed.
Sérgio Meira is the meain researcher responsible for the (Cariban and Tupian) descriptive projects.
Tomas is the one 'official translator' at the village of Kuwamarasamutu, because he speaks very good Dutch.
Sérgio Meira is also the main researcher.
The original tape was digitized by Sérgio.
