Description:		An audio recording with text in which S1 tells the story of 'Manku Tsabo' Aunt Star.
		An audio file with transcription and glosses and translations in English and Spanish in which S1 tells the story of 'Manku Tsabo' or Aunt Star. Aunt Star is a mythical character who taught the Tsachi to weave and often helps women. It tells of two young women who are taken to Aunt Star by a hawk. In the land of Aunt Star one woman is disobedient and as a consequence has an unfortunate encounter with 'Jo' the king of the condors. Birds are prominent througout the story.
		Tsafiki is the sole language spoken throughout the tape.
		S1 is 70 year old native speaker of Tsafiki with a limited knowledge of Spanish. She was born in Chiwilpe but has lived in Cogomita for most of her adult life. She is a trained storyteller and has a great deal of knowledge concerning Tsachi culture. She has no formal education. She is married to U1 and has eight children, several grandchildren and several great-grandchilsren..
