| The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc. | ||

| The researcher conducts the elicitation in Portuguese. The consultant presents the requested data in Trumai. | ||
| There were two participants: the researcher and the native speaker of Trumai (Speaker20). | ||
| Speaker20 is a native speaker of Trumai. Ethnically speaking, he is Kamayurá, but he was adopted and raised by a Trumai couple. He was raised in the Terra Preta village; sometimes he spends several months in the city of Canarana, where some of his Trumai relatives are currently living. | ||
| Raquel is a Brazilian linguist. She has been working with the Trumai people since 1989. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Rice University (Houston, Texas, U.S.A). | ||
