| Ti grew up on Nuku Hiva (Ho'oumi) and came to live on 'Ua Pou at age 18 where she has been living ever since. She mostly speaks the 'Ua Pou vernacular, but sometimes switches to the Nuku Hiva vernacular. She is also very fluent in French. Ti understands Tahitian, but doesn't speak it. Ti knows a lot about plant medicine knowledge passed on by her mother. She knows a number of things about old Marquesan culture through her father (born in 1901). | ||
