Description:A Lanoh text recorded at Dala in 1979. The audio recording is extracted from the Lanoh cassette (this is the sixth text on the tape) and the transcription is from p51-56 of the 1979 Lanoh notebook LNHGBIA790106_001. Notes on contents from p50: 'Untong discusses the time he went to Piah, and explains why his extent of knowledge is so limited.' The place of recording, Dala (or Dɛnlaaʔ), is located at the mouth of the Piah river and was home to various Lanoh subgroups plus some Temiar. This recording was made during Benjamin's first deliberate trip to work with Lanoh and Semnam speakers in Lanoh and Semnam country.
