Description:		A notebook containing field notes and anthropological notes from a Lanoh field trip in 1979. The notes are from Geoffrey Benjamin's visit to Lanoh-speaking groups at Dala and Semnam-speaking groups at Tawai, and include notes on the location, origins and subgroupings of Lanoh and Semnam speakers; transcriptions of 4 texts in Lanoh, some with occasional translations in English, Malay, Temiar or Semnam (plus notes from a fifth recording); and lists of Lanoh vocabulary with glosses in English or Temiar; a village plan of Tawai; a list of Semnam kin terms; transcription of 2 Semnam texts (cassette 79/1 B 000->; 79/1 B 108->) and one Semnam conversation; notes on Semnam religion, culture and subsistence; and a list of Semnam pronouns and anatomy terms. The first page of the notebook contains some Temiar language notes made by Benjamin on his way to Dala, and the final section (pp.136–end) contains field notes from a visit to Temiar at Lambok.
