Description:		The segment captures the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the ground-breaking ceremony for the National Theatre in Prague that took place on 16Ï18 May 1918 and was attended by representatives of all the Slavic nations of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The National Theatre building is decorated with Czech flags. The camera follows the action in the upper part of Wenceslaus Square. An image of a crowd of young people and children dressed in folk costumes on the ramp of the National Museum. Politicians František Soukup, Gustav Habrman and Václav Klofáč are present among the people on the square. Leading figures of the Czech cultural and political scene come out of the building, including poet Adolf Heyduk, writers Alois Jirásek and Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav, the head of the opera of the National Theatre Karel Kovařovic and writer Josef Svatopluk Machar. Karel Kramář, the "national martyr", is solemnly carried out in a chair. The event is also witnessed by Slovenian writer and Mayor of Ljubljana Ivan Tavčar; actors Eduard Vojan, Marie Hübnerová, Leopolda Dostalová, Marie Laudová-Hořicová and Karel Želenský; writers Ignát Herrmann, František Herites and Jan Herben with his wife Bronislava; poet Bohdan Kaminský; and politician Alois Rašín.
