Description:Coconut site: At west end of playing field. Questions in Nen, answers in Idi. Very lively Idi, Titi explains during the interview why Nen has been too hard for her to learn. Also interesting as an example of symmetric bilingual conversation. GPS location of coconut tree: 8 630290 S, 142 04884 E. Interviewer: Ymta. This is a short interview made by the Sangara subcommittee of the Nen language committee, under Nick Evans’ supervision. The Sangara subcommittee comprises Sambo Bamaga (Bamaga is Qakal’s Brother to different Fathers), Pastor Blag, Ebig Gubae and Gerida Rami, Joseph (Teräb) Blag and Bolo Idaba were also in attendance.
