Title:SD1-024
Bibliographic Citation:Ratu, Hilarius, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Lanu; 2015-01-31; Genre: Fairy tale. Title: Toji no'o Leso. Lanu tells about Toji and Leso, but it is not the Toji and Leso told by Punga Hari (PH, kampong Ndeo), the ones that people used to ask rain from, invoked in adat prayers. The story is similar with La'u Du'a told by Lengu and Doto and Walo told by Kanda Sera, and even Dito wea and Koli loi told by Pidu Sophune (Ebbe). Two brothers get in trouble with a giant with giant ears, who captures them and wants to cook them. Recorded with the H4N Zoom 31 Jan 2015 in Lanu's home. The teachers Phaku and Woni sat together with Lanu.Lanu, Bhaku’s mother, was recorded (Toji no’o Leso) in her home after I had recorded Phaku (Maria Erlin) with La no’o laku in a classroom of the school. It was very difficult to find a quiet place this day in Tomu, lots of construction going on, so I found these to be the best options. Thr recordings took place after we had been chatting on the veranda together with Petra Woni behind the house, where Phaku test told the tale once.; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit, eaf file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/38927.
