Title:SD1-167
Bibliographic Citation:Danerek, H. Stefan, Methi, Maria (G.), Danerek, H. Stefan, Ignatius Cawa; 2015-10-04; Genre: Medicine/huru. Ignasius Cawa told two of his 'huru' 4 Oct 2015 in his home in kampong Cawalo after the Sunday's church service and lunch. He tells about 'huru muku' (huru banana) here, but only for 19 s. It is a stomach disease, really bad diarrhea, pus – infection. He does not tell the ingredients, just says pick 'huru muku', meaning those plants(s) that are used along the areca betel. The masticated mixture is applied on the belly. Actually, one reason for keeping this recording in the collection was that so you can hear how noisy it can be from hens/chickens in the village! Recorded by Maria Methi, whose voice is also heard asking questions, using the H4N Zoom (the first time she went to record someone by herself we thought better just use the Zoom. She did fine.), accompanied by her young brother Mboe, in Cawa's home. Present were also Maria Ngele (mother-in-law), Maria Olsiana Lanu and Delfi Methi (grandchildren).; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit, eaf file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47741.
