Bibliographic Citation:Methi, Maria, Danerek, H. Stefan, Methi, Maria (G. Puine), Danerek, H. Stefan, Maria Methi (Puine); 2015-10-09; Genre: Linguistics/word list. Supplementary to Palu'e phonology. Recording made in the evening 9 Oct 2015 by Maria Methi (Puine) in her home in kampong Mata Mere. She was learning how to record so that she could do Palu'e audio documentation. The file was recorded directly with the H4N Zoom audio recorder at 48Khz/24bits. Methi recorded herself three times. In the other two recordings she imitates other dialects. I had left the wordlist with her to record herself and perhaps some other person. She was creative in using the list; in a few items she exchanged the Palu'e word for another, more common or appropriate. And 65. 'ata pi'i' was still there (In SD1-298 the correct word is read after the last word of the list). Or she figured it out, like she correctly reads 59. 'green' as 'ta'a', and 'kila' as was written (at least on the printout used by Longge and Langga for the recordings SD1-298 and SD1-299. Listen and compare. There are several recordings with Maria Methi in the collection (see SD1-057-061), so many of the words in the list can be heard in her narratives. Transcriptions exist all through the recording. They are mostly for reference, to compare with certain items in SD1-298-299. See notes in every eaf-file.; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit || eaf file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/49437.
