Description:Introduction. The Paumarí Indians are located at the mouth of the Sepatini River, Lagoa Marrahã which is near Bom Futuro on the Purus River, and also on the Ituxi River. The language is ordinarily stated to belong to the Aruak family group. There are approximately 150 speakers of the language. They also are fluent bilinguals.
