Title:"Em i no dai nating": Observations on Sorcery in Papua New Guinea
Abstract:Sorcery in PNG is a current problem according to church leaders and frequent reports in The Post Courier newspaper. In this article I review in two recent studies (Bartle 2005 and Zocca, ed. 2009) as well as earlier studies by anthropologists, particularly those who have worked in the Highlands. I also include some of my own observations from living and working in the Southern Highlands and outline some suggestions that church leaders and the government officers have made on dealing with the problem.
