Title:"The Mother Tongue" and Mother Tongue-based Multi Lingual Education

The author traces language formation to the bond formed between a mother and her unborn child. He argues that to disregard minority languages or to suppress them, is to attack the sacred bond between mother and child. Exploring and developing minority languages, on the other hand, honors the historical diversity of a country and is a worthwhile academic pursuit that can contribute to the well-being of a country.

Mother Tongue-based Multilingual Education performs an approach to develop the full cognitive potential of a nation state by including all of the cultural and linguistically diverse people groups in one education system. The aim is to train children of minority groups in their mother tongue on reading and writing skills. This means also to educate them on a grammatical description of their language and thereafter use this learning process as an example to transfer to the national language for higher education. This model works towards honor and prestige of both parties.
