Description:Aakó Gabriel Sillo describes the progression of age-sets throughout Gorwaa history. The Bamut begot the Bamut oo Haya (so named because they wore feathers in their hair); the Bamut oo Haya begot the Sanqurda; the Sanqurda begot the Ireqwan (who began the institution of dageenoo young women attending nighttime dances, and bearing children out of wedlock); the Iraqwan begot the Bamut; the Bamut begot the Duyeét; the Duyeét begot an age-set without a name (the age-set of Gabriel’s parents), but who were called the people of the white stones, as they danced with white beads || Aakó Gabriel Sillo anaorodhesha rika za kihistoria za Wagorowa. For any use of this single material, or of a small number of materials from the larger deposit, please include the following credit lines: 1.
