Description:Continuing his talk about Gorwaa history, Aakó Qweetsó talks about the Datooga leader and prophet Saygilo Mageena. Saygilo receives a vision, and calls all the nearby doctors together the next day, then reveals that Iraqw doctor Bee/á Albanka has drawn white people to the land, and that, from that moment on, the power of the traditional doctors would wane. Saygilo further prophecies that their arrival will be disastrous for his family: his son Gidamosá will be hanged and his family will be made destitute. Gidamosá will then return as a snake in the sky. Following a description of the death of Saygilo Mageena (who disappears along with Buraá Para), his further prophecies - of Julius Nyerere bringing Uhuru, and of a three year famine in which the land will be covered in ash - are discussed. Aakó Bu’ú wonders whether God took the doctors’ power that day or if, in fact, Saygilo stole it himself. || Links: Preceded by: 20151125i, 20151125j; Further links: DSC_5354_20150705b; 20160202g; 20160302a; 20160302b; 20180531_CHc; 20180818_Cha; 20180818_CHb; 20180908_CHb; 20180910_Sta; 20181025_FMn || For any use of this single material, or of a small number of materials from the larger deposit, please include the following credit lines: 1.
