This is the same rhyme she recited in 2012-06-22-BR-02, and the same rhyme is recited by Maria Pokisel in 2011-04-03-BC-03. Recorded at Ida's house in Lopohan. | Koro is an Oceanic (Austronesian) language spoken by several hundred people on Manus and Los Negros islands, approximately 200 miles off the north coast of the Papua New Guinea mainland. This documentation consists primarily of recorded narratives and conversations in the Papitalai dialect, spoken in Papitalai, Riu Riu, and Naringel villages. | ||
