Description:A chief is not declared dead until this rite is performed. He is considered critically sick in bed. A group of chiefs in his fraternity gather to perform this rite. The rite is performed three times and if he doesn’t wake up, an old lady goes out to proclaim the bad news which is met with wailing and gunshot.The successor is smeared with powder and a ram is slaughter.
