| Description: | HGS1, JHG1 and JSY1 invited SUK1 to have dinner with them as they were having traditional Jejuan food. The dish is called 'Dombekkweki', with 'dombe' meaning 'chopping board' and 'kweki' meaning 'meat', and is basically pork calves boiled in water, and then cut into pieces on a chopping board, hence the name. The recording is interesting as it involves members of three generations: HGS1 as the grandparental generation speaking Jejuan, JHG1 as the shifting generation that constantly switches between Jejuan and Korean, and JSY1 as the young generation that resorts to Korean as a linguistic resource almost exclusively. | |
