Description:Marqos climbs a tree in search for good wood for mayda 'firesticks'. He also takes some rotten dry wood for kindling the fire with. He then makes a fire from scratch by twisting a stick between his hands. It is placed in the hole of a piece of wood, which again rests on a larger piece. He carefully builds a small fire and covers it with fragrant chips of wood. Over this smokey fire he puts a beehive halve and covers its holes, so that the hive will absorb the fragrance of the smoke. He comments that if a beehive is not smoked properly, bees will not enter it. A hive occupied in May would yield a good harvest in November or December.
