Description:		U Maung Lai was 87 years old and one of the highest ranking shaman living in Zin Ywa Maw village, Myebon Township in 2011 and has since died. It was intended that he would be the main language consultant for this project, but he had a stroke and his health deteriorated to such a degree that he could not participate in this project. Although his speech is unclear, this video represents the last video of him as he recites a ritual chant. Because U Mg Lai earned the Bov, the most important ritual necklace that can be worn by a shaman, he had the right to conduct the buffalo sacrifice ritual which is considered the highest ritual performance.
